Join us in Montrose for a creative, community-led event exploring how we can respond to coastal erosion through art, imagination, and collaboration.

This free half-day gathering is co-hosted by Culture for Climate Scotland (formerly Creative Carbon Scotland), Angus Climate Hub, and Montrose LandxSea Film Fest,

We’ll be joined by Northeast artist Eve Mosher for a hands-on imagination workshop, alongside local films, an ideas clinic, and space to spark new environmental art projects in Montrose and beyond.

You'll connect with local artists, climate workers, and community groups as we explore creative, place-based ways to engage with coastal change.

About SPRINGBOARD

SPRINGBOARD is a nationwide series of local assemblies designed to spark creative climate action, hosted by Culture for Climate Scotland.

Assemblies are an opportunity to connect with other practitioners in your region to address climate change collectively, bringing together artists, cultural and sustainability organisations, climate workers, activists, local businesses, third-sector organisations and anyone interested in collaborating to form powerful local networks for creative climate action.

The events are open to anyone working or volunteering in the climate or environmental sector, the arts, screen, creative industries, museums, heritage and libraries.

About us

Culture for Climate Scotland encourages and equips individuals, organisations and strategic bodies to harness the role of culture in achieving the transformational change to an environmentally sustainable Scotland.

Angus Climate Hub supports and connects local people and groups to take meaningful climate action across the region. Funded by the Scottish Government and hosted by Montrose Community Trust, the Hub shares skills, resources and inspiration to help Angus thrive.

Montrose LandxSea Film Fest is Scotland’s environmental film festival, using storytelling and the arts to spark dialogue and inspire action on climate and nature. It hosts year-round events and an annual September festival at the Montrose Playhouse.

Eve Mosher is an artist who works at the intersection of climate change and imagination. She is developing tools of imagination and creativity to help communities tell their own story of tomorrow.
