Our official festival hotel partner is The Links hotel, with a great location, minutes from Montrose golf course (the second oldest in Scotland), and Montrose's stunning beach.

As well as The Links, there are a few great options for the more budget-conscious, or those who prefer to be closer to nature during their stay.

Wild camping
You may wish to wild camp, which is legally allowed across most of Scotland, providing you camp responsibly. Please do check and observe the Scottish Outdoor Access Code before planning your camping trip. Be aware that Scottish weather can be temperamental and pack sensibly!

The Reel Bar at Montrose Playhouse serves hot drinks, snacks (popcorn, sweets), cakes, oven-baked pizzas, local drinks and cocktails.

- Scottish Wildlife Trust Montrose Basin Visitor Centre - During September and October, witness the arrival of over 100,000 migratory birds including pink-footed geese, wigeon and a variety of other waterfowl and waders which settle in the Basin for the winter - the visitor centre organises a range of activities for nature lovers, included guided bird-watching walks and self-guided audio tours.
- Montrose Beach - We invite everyone to attend our annual LandxSea Sunday morning Beach Dook at 9.30am on 13th September, but there's no reason to wait until then to visit this stunning stretch of coastline, with views across to Scurdie Ness Lighthouse
- Montrose Museum Originally founded by the Montrose Natural History and Antiquarian Society, it now houses a fascinating range of artefacts from the archaeological, to the artistic, from pre-history to modern maritime warfare, via the Jacobite uprisings.
- Montrose Air Station Museum - History buffs will enoy this one! The Montrose Air Station aviation museum was originally the first operational military air station in Great Britain when it was established in February 1913.

- Ink and Quill independent bookshop - A beautifull curated local indie bookshop with plenty of books by local authors and international, the shop runs lots of events and also features a children's area accessed via a magical Narnia wardrobe!
- Mo'Fidelity - A well-stocked indpendent record store on the high street, with a wide range of new releases and vintage hidden gems for vinyl lovers
