LandxSea teamDiscover how still images can come to life.
Suitable for all ages, this practical workshop introduces young people to the basics of stop motion animation with Scottish film educator Sandie Jamieson.
Participants will learn simple stop motion techniques using the Stop Motion Studio Pro app, exploring how to bring objects, drawings or characters to life one frame at a time.
The workshop uses Stop Motion Studio Pro. For anyone interested in continuing at home, the free Stop Motion Studio app is available for both Android and Apple devices, while the Pro version includes additional features and costs £4.99 at time of listing.
This is a great workshop for anyone interested in animation, filmmaking or creative storytelling. No previous animation or filmmaking experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.

Workshop Tickets
All PoP Shop workshop tickets are £5.
We want our workshops to be affordable, welcoming and open to as many people as possible. Every place is subsidised through donations and festival fundraising, and your £5 ticket helps cover the tutor, venue and materials.
Spaces are limited, with most workshops able to welcome only 10–20 people. Please book only when you are confident you can attend. When plans change, let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer the place to someone else.
Free Places & Access
Free places are available through our Community Ticket Fund. When the workshop cost is a barrier, please contact us — we want these activities to be open to everyone.
If you have any access requirements that you would like us to know about, please also get in touch.
