Plans are well underway for the festival in September, with many ways for our community to get involved. At Fest HQ, we're currently reviewing the 130+ films that were submitted for the festival this year from all over the world, highlighting the urgency of having a platform in Scotland to share these important stories.
We start May with some great news! We are excited to announce that LandxSea is a recipient of the 2024 BFI FAN Film Exhibition Fund, thanks to the support from Film Hub Scotland!
This invaluable funding will enhance our line-up of environmental films and discussions in Montrose this September. We're thrilled to contribute to the fund’s goal of ensuring that audiences across Scotland can access and enjoy a diverse range of films, regardless of geography or circumstance. This initiative is made possible by Film Hub Scotland, part of the BFI’s Film Audience Network, and funded by Screen Scotland and National Lottery funding from the BFI. Tell Us About Your Storm Angus Experiences
Your experiences during Angus's unprecedented storms are important. This winter, everyone in Angus endured record-breaking floods, storms, and tides, significantly impacting our lives, jobs, and homes. We would like to hear your stories about how these recent storms have affected you, your work, and your family. Share your photos, videos, or spoken words through Angus Climate Hub, and see your experiences showcased at this year's LandxSea Film Fest. Let's document and share our collective journey through these challenging times to create a community record of these events.

We understand the recent storms in Angus have been devastating, and we want to be as respectful and sensitive as possible. By gathering and sharing your experiences, we aim to honour what our community has endured and is still enduring. This initiative, led by Angus Climate Hub, seeks to help us learn, understand, and witness what happened together. The material collected will be used to create a film, to be shown at the Montrose Playhouse during LandxSea Film Fest from 13-15 September 2024. To participate, visit Angus Climate Hub and upload your content. For more details on the reasons and motivations behind this project, click here.
