Welcome to Scotland's Environmental Film Festival

More Than Movies. A Movement.

LandxSea is Scotland’s leading movement for films and discussions that spark green ideas and actions.
We bring you powerful stories from the environmental frontlines - films that inspire, inform, and ignite change.

At the heart of our programme is the deep connection between land and sea, explored through a diverse selection of films and conversations that reflect the changing climate and our place within it.

Every September, the LandxSea Film Festival transforms Montrose into a hub for bold environmental storytelling. Our 3rd annual edition takes place 12–14 September 2025 at the Montrose Playhouse - a community-owned, state-of-the-art cinema in the Angus region of northeast Scotland. The 2025 programme will be announced, and tickets available, in early August.

New in 2025, LandxSea Monthly brings you environmental films year-round, including exclusive previews and festival highlights, all shown at the Montrose Playhouse.

Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to hear about special announcements and ticket offers!
